Our Town, Schroon Lake is a Great Place

Schroon Lake is a great compromise for a Adirondack vacation spot. It is not as built up or busy as Lake George or as expensive as Lake Placid. But it has a great waterfront, a pleasant downtown area, and enough stores and restaurants for your vacationing needs. it also has a good local pride in the town, and spirit and the people are pleasant and friendly. The town beach, dock and boat launch are very good and most importantly, FREE!. There is some culture from the Seagle Music Colony and the concerts they give at the handsome Schroon Lake Bandstand, right on the lake. Schroon Lake and Pottersville are also the home of the large Word of Life Christian Center.
